Mahonia

Mahonia is a genus of evergreen shrubs native to Asia and North America. These plants are loved for their striking leaves and fragrant flowers. Mahonia has thorny leaves that are often compound and range in color from green to blue-green. In late winter or early spring, Mahonia produces clusters of bright yellow flowers that emit a sweet fragrance. After flowering, berries may appear, which range in color from blue to black and are loved by birds. Mahonia thrives in well-drained soil and can grow in both full sun and shade.
