The founders
October 1, 1987 Kwekerij Maarten Bloemen V.O.F. was founded by Maarten and Jacqueline Bloemen. After 10 years of working with a fairly extensive assortment, including finished products, it was decided in 1997 to switch completely to the acid-loving shrub assortment. And a complete focus on young plants. Since 2000, new patented varieties have also been added to the assortment.
The new generation
After participating for several years, Merijn Bloemen officially joined the nursery in 2018. With the entry of the new generation, the name Kwekerij Maarten Bloemen was also changed to Bloemen Young Plants in 2022. Future plans are ambitious. Determined to continually develop the nursery in the areas of quality and unburdening, they are working every day to exceed customer expectations. The emphasis is on innovation and sustainability. Continuing to develop and produce a wide range of beautiful, innovative crops while leading the way in sustainability is where our passion lies. And we love to share this with the world!
